technology is fundamentally flawed. Whether it is
the exposure of client to the commercial
vulnerability of a supplier or the cost associated
with inter-connecting multiple systems, proprietary
systems have significant disadvantages.
FLEXIBLE AND ROBUST
Prolojik has assessed the various open systems
standards currently available and has chosen two
solutions for its products. At the network level, we
utilise EIA709.1 LonWorks and at the
inter-networking level we use TCP/IP.
The choice of these technologies is based on a
number of factors including: robustness,
availability, scalability and interoperability.
LOCAL & RELIABLE
Prolojik maintains a policy of designing and
manufacturing all of its key lighting controls
components in the UK at its partner manufacturing
facility.
We believe that the availability of dedicated
on-shore capability, allows us to maintain
responsiveness, quality control and stability of
supply even when required to achieve the most
aggressive delivery schedules.
MANUFACTURE
We believe that the best differentiator in the
market place is not single-vendor solutions, but
competing in a open market place and succeeding on
the basis of best-in-breed, quality of service and
value for money. Prolojik's commitment extends to
all of its processes.
Our manufacturing processes are conformant to BS EN
ISO9001-2008, and we have already made the
transition to lead-free manufacture and are moving
our production to RoHS compliance (Restriction of
the use of Hazardous Substances).
