Prolojik has supplied its open protocol system with intelligent location-based service, "Proxima", to major new commercial building, 1 London Wall Place, in the City of London.

As part of a major phased project, Prolojik has completed the shell and core fit-out of 1 London Wall Place, a 300,000 sq ft building arranged over 12 storeys, delivered by developers Brookfield and Oxford. Specified by M&E consultants at engineering consultancy, Hurley Palmer Flatt, Prolojik was appointed to deliver an open protocol, plug-in lighting control module (LCM) system that will allow the occupant to easily maintain and modify the system in future. Prolojik’s "Modular" lighting solution delivers complete flexibility to meet unique requirements in each space and provide seamless communication across all spaces.

Pre-let to global investment manager, Schroders, 1 London Wall Place includes Proxima, Prolojik’s location based service. Proxima’s Bluetooth low energy capability connects luminaires and moveable objects, such as security passes, to track occupants movements.

Localised control throughout the lighting system is achieved through the use of Prolojik’s range of Bluetooth-enabled location-based services multi sensors, switch interfaces and scene plates.

Presence/absence detection, scene setting and AV integration is provided for for meeting rooms and the auditorium with daylight linking providing fully flexible lighting levels.

The user-friendly system also integrates emergency lighting monitoring, to facilitate statutory testing and proactive maintenance, and provides fire alarm, and building management system integration. The lighting system is managed by Prolojik’s graphical software, Perspective, enabling full control of all system features.

Prolojik Commercial Director, Mark Vincent, said: “1 London Wall Place is an exciting project for Prolojik as it’s the largest deployment to date of our location based service, Proxima. Our ability to supply the full range of equipment required was key to our appointment to the project and we’re confident that our lighting system has equipped Schroders with a solution that is not just easy-to-maintain, but future-proof.”
