At Prolojik Limited, we marked International Women’s Day with a heartwarming celebration, recognising and appreciating the remarkable women who contribute their brilliance, dedication, and innovation to our dynamic team.
In a spirit of camaraderie, we raised a glass of sparkles – or, as we have committed to sustainability, a recyclable cardboard cup of non-alcoholic Gin and Tonic – to honour the invaluable role women play in our organisation.
To delve deeper into the challenges faced by women in our predominantly male-dominated industry and the broader business world, we conducted a thought-provoking roundtable discussion. This gathering provided a platform for our team to reflect on past successes and shortcomings. An honest and open dialogue ensued, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration.
Sara Clark, Ewa Kloch, Aurelie Garrigues, Sandi Haigh, Geri Clarke, and Annabel Curzon deserve special mention for their courage and candour in addressing these critical issues. Their proactive engagement in helping us identify areas for improvement is a testament to their commitment to fostering a workplace where equality, diversity, and inclusion thrive. Also thank you to Charlotte Bird, who wasn’t able to attend, but did offer some interesting thoughts in the days running up to the event.
One of the focal points of our discussion was pinpointing actionable steps towards positive change within our organisation. Identifying key areas where improvement is needed, we laid the foundation for tangible transformations that will contribute to a more inclusive work environment.
As we celebrated International Women’s Day, we not only acknowledged the achievements of our female colleagues but also embraced the responsibility of creating a workplace that empowers everyone. The hashtag #BalanceforBetter resonated through our discussions, encapsulating our commitment to achieving gender equality and acknowledging the role each person plays in building a balanced world.
