Commissioning Engineers

We are currently looking for experienced lighting control commissioning engineers to join our well-established, growing company. If you meet the requirements below, we’d love to hear from you!

Ideally, you will be able to:

  • Work independently for most of the role but also as part of a team.
  • Use a laptop and our commissioning software as your primary tools.
  • Read and interpret technical guides, drawings, and schematics.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • Communicate directly with our clients to advise them of project progress, and highlight any remedial actions needed by them.
  • Construct detailed post-visit reports.
  • Operate with a problem-solving mindset and approach.

About you:

You need to have completed an electrical qualification, covering 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.  If you are experienced in lighting controls (addressing DALI control devices and lighting) with a knowledge of IP network interfaces, that will be advantageous.

You should be a CSCS card holder, and preferably the Gold ECS card.  You should have good communication skills for client liaison and report writing which is an essential part of the job, and you should be someone focused on offering excellent customer service!

A lot of our work is in London you will need to be within commuting distance, and also be available to work in other locations within the UK as required.  Additionally, we require our Engineers to be available to work at least one Saturday per month as overtime, and other overtime as required is necessary for this role.

Electronics Engineer

We are currently looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our well-established, growing company. If you meet the requirements below, we’d love to hear from you! We are not accepting applications from recruitment agencies for this role. Thank you for your understanding.

Location: High Wycombe

Ideally, you will be able to:

  • Design PCBs for integration into new and existing systems, including DALI driver design, Bluetooth interface communication devices, relay circuits, and wiring diagrams.
  • Write test specifications, set up supplier test jigs, and create fault-finding guidance for commissioning engineers.
  • Create and maintain design folders, files, and documentation, and write comprehensive test reports.
  • Review and optimise existing designs for functionality, durability, and lifetime, making necessary design changes and documenting updates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams (CTO, Product & Operations Director) to ensure product specifications and build standards are met.
  • Provide technical support, assist with product testing, fault finding (including RMAs), and support in-house and field testing of new products.
  • Design electronics to comply with product-specific regulations (e.g., EMC, LVD), test BLE devices, manage the Prolojik app for clients, and oversee R&D lab organisation and project documentation.

About you: 

You need to have a relevant degree, college course, apprenticeship, BTEC or HND course in Electronic Engineering. Have experience in designing and testing electronic circuits, ideally in areas such as lighting control systems, communication devices, or similar electronic products.

You should have practical experience in creating PCB schematics, selecting components, and designing layouts for system integration, and should be skilled in product testing, fault finding, and debugging to ensure products meet quality standards. Familiarity with industry regulations like EMC and LVD, as well as experience with testing software or firmware, especially for embedded systems, is valuable. Additionally, have experience working within cross-functional teams and creating detailed design files, test specifications, and documentation. Previous experience with lighting control systems is beneficial.

Personal attributes preferred:

  • Ability to design electronic circuits, with a focus on lighting control systems.
  • Attention to detail in creating accurate and comprehensive drawings and designs.
  • Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Methodical approach to decision-making, problem-solving, and complex situation analysis.
  • Creativity and innovation in overcoming design challenges and optimising systems.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
