Integration

BACnet

BACnet is a communication protocol for Building Automation and Control (BAC) networks that leverage the ASHRAE, ANSI, and ISO 16484-5 standard protocol.

BACnet was designed to allow communication of building automation and control systems for applications such as heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning control (HVAC), lighting control, access control, and fire detection systems and their associated equipment. The BACnet protocol provides mechanisms for computerised building automation devices to exchange information, regardless of the particular building service they perform.

Prolojik provides BACnet/MSTP and BACnet/IP integration via our PN740 and BACnet/IP integration through our PN541.

DMX

DMX512 is a standard for digital communication networks that are commonly used to control lighting and effects. It was originally intended as a standardized method for controlling stage lighting dimmers.

Today DMX is used in commercial lighting for specialist light sources often used in façade, landscape, auditorium and foyer applications.

Prolojik had developed our PN380 DMX gateway for integration of DMX lighting sources into our lighting system for colour control, scheduling and scene control.

RS-232 AV Integration

RS-232 is a telecommunication standard dating back to the 1960’s that is still widely used for point-to-point integration between control systems. Now known as TIA-232-F, the standard is used to integrate with audio visual systems for applications such as event scheduling and scene control.

Prolojik’s PN360 gateways enable RS-232 equipment to share data with the lighting control system in a multi-cast basis using our predefined protocols. These protocols support, scene recall, occupancy tracking, partition monitoring and overrides.
