We are excited to announce multiple vacancies for lighting control commissioning engineers. Whether you’re an experienced lighting controls engineer or just starting your career after completing an electrical apprenticeship, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

“The main role on offer is that of a Commissioning Engineer, a pivotal position within our organisation”, says Haigh. “The ideal candidate will be able to work independently for most of the role while also being an effective team player.”

Using a laptop and our commissioning software as primary tools, you should be adept at reading and interpreting technical guides, drawings, CAD drawings and schematics.

“Working to tight deadlines and communicating directly with clients to advise on project progress are integral aspects of the role”, says Sandi, reiterating that clear communication is important to the role. “Additionally, constructing detailed post-visit reports and operating with a proactive problem-solving mindset is crucial for success in this role.”

About You:

Thinking about the type of person who would thrive in this role, our HR supremo notes that “you should have completed an electrical qualification, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and experience in lighting controls, familiarity with addressing DALI control devices and lighting, and knowledge of IP network interfaces are advantageous”.

What’s non-negotiable, however, is that you must be a CSCS card holder, preferably the Gold ECS card. And, as much of your work will be based in London, candidates within commuting distance are preferred, but if the commute is doable for you, then we can have a good chat about it at your interview.

“Although we try to keep things as local as possible, availability for UK-wide travel, including occasional Saturdays paid as overtime, is a requirement”, Sandi notes.
