Accelerated construction programmes and the drive to improve quality and consistency of installation is driving the trend for prefabrication. Lighting control, particularly systems based on our Plexus range, are ideally suited to pre-fabrication.
The ability to directly wire luminaires from the distribution board and home-run the DALI bus to Plexus controllers, simplifies installation and testing. Plexus input devices, including multi-sensors, switches and scene panels are all simply powered and networked over the DALI bus.
Each pre-fabricated riser can also directly connect to the building side IP network enabling high-speed data connection for monitoring, control and analytic functions that can support design objectives such as WELL™, BREEAM and SmartScore.
Prolojik is leveraged all of these benefits in the delivery of the lighting controls at 900k sq ft, 40 Leadenhall London, also known as Gotham City.
We have worked closely with MACE MEP to pre-engineer the design and supplied BIM models of our equipment enable detailed modelling the complete lighting system. This has enabled us to supply pre-commissioned lighting control to LMOB, MACE MEPs’ installation partner, to fabricate the riser modules, complete with electrical distribution, containment and lighting controls. Each module has been integrated with local circuit test and verification to minimse testing and verification time on site.
Once the modules are delivered and installed to site, we will begin the onsite commissioning element of project. We look forward to sharing progress you in the months to come.
