Commissioning Engineer

We are currently looking for experienced lighting control commissioning engineers to join our well-established, growing company. If you meet the requirements below, we’d love to hear from you! This role will be based in London.

Ideally, you will be able to:

  • Work independently for most of the role but also as part of a team.
  • Use a laptop and our commissioning software as your primary tools.
  • Read and interpret technical guides, drawings, and schematics.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • Communicate directly with our clients to advise them of project progress, and highlight any remedial actions needed by them.
  • Construct detailed post-visit reports.
  • Operate with a problem-solving mindset and approach.

About you:

You need to have completed an electrical qualification, covering 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.  If you are experienced in lighting controls (addressing DALI control devices and lighting) with a knowledge of IP network interfaces, that will be advantageous.

You should be a CSCS card holder, and preferably the Gold ECS card.  You should have good communication skills for client liaison and report writing which is an essential part of the job, and you should be someone focused on offering excellent customer service!

A lot of our work is in London you will need to be within commuting distance, and also be available to work in other locations within the UK as required.  Additionally, we require our Engineers to be available to work at least one Saturday per month as overtime, and other overtime as required is necessary for this role.

Prolojik is expanding, and with this growth comes new opportunities. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in High Wycombe. We are currently looking for a IT Support & Software Engineer to join our well-established, growing company. If you meet the requirements below, we’d love to hear from you!

Ideally, you will be able to:

Assist with General IT Requirements:

  • Setting up Windows PCs/laptops & installing proprietary software for employees.
  • Providing basic training on company-wide software systems.
  • Liaising with external IT support to troubleshoot hardware & software issues.
  • Assisting with maintaining/upgrading company servers.
  • Setting up NUCs & installing proprietary software for customers.

Internal software (EMS):

  • Ongoing development.
  • Improving functionality.
  • Add / build and develop reports for various department and business requirements.
  • Mass changes to system data as requested.
  • Manage and implement the interaction and communication between EMS and Sage.
  • Review and mitigate platform and development environment changes.
  • Review and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain DevOps to log and update any outstanding bugs or change requests.

Zoho Expense:

  • Ensuring data is correct and inline.
  • User, policy, and vehicle management.
  • Align reporting platform to match accounting demands and changes in credit card API.

Prolojik Data Poller:

  • Maintain/update the data poller code to reflect any API or regulatory changes by Zoho, Google, Microsoft or HMRC.
  • Maintain the data integration between Zoho and Sage.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience within the Windows environment, specifically with support IT infrastructure, installing software and troubleshooting software & hardware issues.
  • Experience in software development, particularly in designing, developing, and maintaining complex in-house applications, smart device apps, or enterprise-level software.
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC): from design and development through testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance and updates.
  • Hands-on experience with the technologies listed (e.g., C#, .NET 7/8, T-SQL, Xamarin, Entity Framework/EF Core, Git, etc.), with a deep understanding of .NET frameworks and tools.
  • Experience in integrating systems such as EMS, Zoho, Sage, and other platforms, including managing data flow between systems and troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Experience with app lifecycle management, including end-of-life migration, troubleshooting.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud, ensuring scalability, performance, and security in cloud-based software.
  • Experience with DevOps practices for tracking bugs, change requests, and maintaining an efficient development pipeline.
  • Solid understanding of databases and reporting tools, including T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, and data management techniques to handle mass data changes and maintain integrity.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in software development to mitigate vulnerabilities and keep the system secure.

Education & Certifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in development frameworks (e.g., .NET, Azure) or security (e.g., Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional – CSSLP) would be a plus.
  • Experience in Agile or similar methodologies is a plus, as the role will require flexibility in adapting to changing project requirements and timelines.

Electronics Engineer

At Prolojik, we’re leading the way in intelligent lighting solutions – pioneering smart technologies that power sustainable, connected buildings across the UK and beyond. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented Electronics Engineer to help drive innovation in our growing company.

About the Role:

As a Electronics Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in working on electronic and electrical circuit designs for new product development projects. Creation of schematic designs and PCB layout design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PCB Design for systems including DALI drivers, Bluetooth interfaces, relay circuits, LCMs, PoE devices, and sensors
  • Component selection and compliance with standards (EMC, LVD, etc.)
  • Product testing, fault finding (incl. RMA/Goods-In), and long-term performance evaluation
  • BLE and App testing, including firmware updates
  • Create schematics, layouts, BOMs, production packs, and wiring diagrams
  • Write test specs, fault-finding guides, and maintain design documentation
  • Train engineers, set up demo kits, and support product commissioning
  • Prototype management and sample logging for NPD
  • Support suppliers to meet design/build standards
  • Value engineer existing products to improve cost, durability, and performance
  • Manage R&D lab, organise samples, and back up project files
  • Coordinate with CTO & Product Director on new designs and provide weekly updates
  • General technical support and occasional additional tasks as needed
